KIDS Center is committed to community change to prevent child
abuse, which includes both preventing it from ever happening and stopping it
when it is occurring or at risk of occurring. Our community prevention
efforts include awareness building, outreach education (focused on behavior
change), community collaboration and community mobilization.
Besides our core prevention outreach programs which include the
Blue
Ribbon Campaign each April and Darkness
to Light 'Stewards of Children' trainings, we also provide speakers
and outreach materials to help educate community members on how they can
respond to and prevent child abuse in Central Oregon. Contact the KIDS Center
Prevention Program for more information at 541-383-5958.
