KIDS Center – a recipient of the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation Grant

KIDS Center is delighted to share that we are a recipient of a Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation Grant in the amount of $5,000 to help fund our Medical Director position.  In addition to performing critical child abuse evaluations, this position is also a vital part of our training efforts for community partners, such as law enforcement, DHS-Child welfare, and medical providers who are responsible for identifying children at risk and referring them to KIDS Center.  This is KIDS Center’s sixth grant from the foundation since 2009 for a total of $49,000.  We truly appreciate their continued support and partnership to help evaluate, treat, and prevent child abuse in Central Oregon.

The Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation supports a number of Deschutes County agencies in addition to KIDS Center.  See the full press release from Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation, including a list of all recipients for 2019, here.
