About KIDS Center

OUR MISSION:

We lead our region’s response to child abuse.

KIDS Center was founded more than 30 years ago to improve services and outcomes for children and families impacted by abuse. KIDS Center is a nationally-accredited Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) and the only CAC operating in Central Oregon. KIDS Center serves as a central hub for children and families impacted by abuse. Families referred to KIDS Center receive specialized services and support at no cost.

KIDS Center shares our expertise with partners and the general community. Across six counties, we hold trainings for multi-disciplinary partners in law enforcement, child welfare, and medical and mental health professions. We also provide free child safety trainings for parents, caregivers, and other adults in our communities. Since our founding, KIDS Center has trained more than 17,000 adults how to spot and prevent child abuse.
