Let’s Talk About It

Learn how to talk about safety with your child, based on their age and development.

For: Parents, caregivers and adults who work with kids
Length: 1 Hour for each age range (0-5 yrs, 5-12 yrs, 12-17 yrs)

Created for parents, caregivers, and those who work with or on behalf of children, each 1-hour module of our Let’s Talk About It training provides education and insight on the ages and stages of a child’s development, examining each through a social, physical, and developmental lens. The training also provides guidance on how to talk to children about their bodies. You will learn about neurotypical childhood and adolescent development and determine what is considered problematic or inappropriate behavior in children and youth. Participants will go through scenarios to gain hands-on experience on how to handle certain behaviors, situations, or questions that a child may have with the appropriate response while remaining calm.  The training is ideal for parents and adults who work with children and youth. Let’s Talk About It offers three modules tailored to three age groups: 0-5, 5-12, and 12-17.
