Internet Safety: What do YOU think?

In 2019, KIDS Center partnered with the San Diego Police Foundation to bring SafetyNet, and internet safety curriculum, to our community. While focused on providing trainings for parents and adults about how to remain safe online and how to communicate and set boundaries for online engagement with children, we soon realized that we were missing a critical voice: youth

This summer, we created a Youth Internet Engagement survey that is geared towards middle and high school students. The goal of this survey is to increase our knowledge and understanding of how youth in our community engage online, primarily on social media platforms. We also want to hear youth’s perspective on what adults can do to create spaces to have open conversations about online engagement.

Information gathered from this survey will inform training updates. If you are a youth that is entering middle school, currently in middle or high school, or recently graduated, you are eligible and welcome to take the survey. If you participate you will have the option to be entered into a raffle to win a $100 Amazon gift card.
